Bob Kase is a Grammy nominated trumpet player who has performed with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Sonny and Cher, Tony Bennett and toured the world as a soloist and with the Gothenburg Brass Band. He’s recorded on over 200 recordings and has released 4 solo albums on Altenburgh Records. A passionate educator who has served as professor and chair of the department of
music at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, Dean of Arts and Science at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois, and Dean of the School of Fine Arts at the University of Minnesota in Duluth.

Additionally, Bob has authored many books on various music subjects and is a talented composer. In this podcast Bob speaks of his life's journey and wrestles with the question “What is Jazz?”
